Ask a question →Does the first consultation cost anything?
No. The first consultation is free and without obligation, for students and for parents. You can book it on WhatsApp or visit us on Av. Marginal in Maputo.
How long does the process take?
For Malaysia, the first three stages, from submitting academic results to the student visa, offer letter and accommodation, usually take between 7 and 10 weeks. Then come the flight, the entry visa and the tuition payment, up to two weeks before travel. Timings are indicative and vary from case to case.
What qualifications do I need to apply?
The certificate of the last level you completed (Grade 12, AS Level, A Level or O Level), original and translated, and an English proficiency test. In the consultation we confirm the exact requirements for the course and university.
Which documents will I need?
Among others: a passport valid for at least 3 years, a yellow fever vaccination certificate, a full birth certificate and documents from the parent or guardian. The full list, stage by stage, is on the Malaysia page.
Are there scholarships?
Yes. In Malaysia there are partial merit scholarships of up to 60% of tuition, and postgraduate scholarships. We review the student's grades and point out the scholarships they can apply for.
When is tuition paid?
First-semester tuition and the enrolment and administrative fees are paid about two weeks before travel. The application and visa fees are paid earlier, at the second stage.
How much is the Malaysian entry visa?
The entry visa payment is 5,000 MZN. The amounts for the other fees are given in the consultation.
Does Global Education help with accommodation and travel?
Yes. We assist with accommodation, run a pre-departure orientation session and help prepare the journey, including the flight.
Can parents follow the process?
Yes. Parents are welcome at the consultation and communication with parents is part of our support. The parent or guardian also signs some visa documents, such as the sponsorship letter.
